About WALGA
The Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) is the peak body representing all 139 local governments across WA. WALGA advocates on behalf of councils and provides expert advice, services, and support to help local governments deliver better outcomes for their communities.
Through its Preferred Supplier Program, WALGA prequalifies suppliers against strict probity, compliance, and quality standards. This allows councils to engage trusted providers directly, without the need for a full public tender process.
