When is my Queensland real estate CPD due?

If you’re a licensed or registered real estate professional in Queensland, completing your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year is mandatory.

But one of the most common questions we hear is:

“When is my QLD real estate CPD due?”

In Queensland, CPD deadlines are not based on the calendar year, which is where many agents get caught out.

Not Sure When Your QLD CPD Is Due? (Start Here)

Your CPD year is based on your individual licence or registration issue date, not January–December.

👉 Check your CPD year on the official QLD Government website
(Office of Fair Trading – Queensland Government)

Important (especially for mobile users):
The “Check your CPD year” tool is located partway down the government page, not at the top.
You’ll need to scroll down to find the CPD checker.

This ensures you’re confirming your CPD requirements directly from the official source.

How the QLD Real Estate CPD Year Works

In Queensland, your CPD year is unique to you.

Here’s how it works:

  • Your CPD year starts on the issue date of your current licence or registration

  • You have 12 months from that date to complete your CPD

  • Each year, your CPD deadline falls on the anniversary of your licence issue date

Important:
Any CPD completed before your first full CPD year begins does not count towards your CPD requirement.
