What Are the 2026 WA CPD Requirements?

The 2026 WA CPD requirements outline the compulsory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) obligations for licensed property professionals in Western Australia, including real estate agents, property managers and settlement agents.

How Many CPD Points Do I Need in WA for 2026?

The number of 2026 Real estate CPD points required each year has been reduced to five points for both the real estate and settlement industries.

WA real estate agents now need at least 1 CPD point from each category:
  • Legal Requirements
  • Ethics or Professional Responsibility
  • Professional Skills

The Professional Skills category is your chance to sharpen what matters most—negotiation, client management, digital marketing, communication, tech tools, and more. It’s not just a box to tick; it’s your edge in a competitive market.

Please note that participants will be responsible for covering the cost of all CPD training.

  • At least 1 point in Legal Requirements
  • At least 1 point in Ethics or Professional Responsibility

The remaining points can be earned from any of the approved CPD categories.

Sales, marketing or personal development training does not count toward CPD points in WA.

What re the cpd year changes?

The changes shift the CPD year from 1 January to 31 December to a new cycle running 1 April to 31 March.

The first full CPD year under this new cycle will be 1 April 2026 31 March 2027.

To help you transition, CPD completed with an approved provider between 1 January and 31 March 2026 will count towards the 2026/27 CPD year. We encourage you to begin your CPD early.
