What is National Safe Work Month?
National Safe Work Month is an annual awareness campaign that encourages employers and workers across Australia to commit to building safer workplaces. The initiative is an opportunity to highlight risks, promote mental and physical wellbeing, and ensure businesses understand their compliance obligations under the WHS Act 2020.
This year’s theme will be confirmed closer to the date by Safe Work Australia, but it typically covers topics like:
-
Preventing physical injuries and psychosocial hazards
-
Creating mentally healthy workplaces
-
Improving workplace culture and systems
-
Empowering leadership around safety and compliance
