Sophie Sanderson

Psychological Safety Practitioner & Training Facilitator

Sophie Sanderson is passionate about unlocking the power of the brain to transform the way individuals and teams work. With a Master of Human Resource Management, an Advanced Diploma in the Neuroscience of Leadership, and certifications in brain-based coaching and psychological safety, Sophie brings a unique, science-informed perspective to training and facilitation.

As the founder of Sophamine, Sophie has extensive experience helping organisations measure and improve psychological safety using the SAFETY™ tool, enabling teams to build stronger trust, collaboration, and performance. She specialises in coaching middle managers—often the overlooked core of organisations—and equipping them with practical strategies that enhance communication, resilience, and engagement.

Known for making neuroscience accessible, Sophie translates complex concepts into practical tools that create meaningful change. Whether she’s guiding teams through workshops on inclusive leadership, feedback, or emotional intelligence, or helping individuals “hack their brain” to overcome procrastination, Sophie ensures her sessions are engaging, empowering, and grounded in evidence.

Passionate, witty, and approachable, Sophie believes psychological safety isn’t just a “nice-to-have”—it’s essential for innovation, productivity, and retention. Beyond her professional work, she enjoys blending her love of learning with her natural humour (she’s known for slipping in the occasional groan-worthy joke), making her sessions both impactful and memorable.
